How the search works

  • One field takes a keyword or a hashtag and works out which you meant, including multi-word phrases and their glued-together form.
  • Every row carries a reach tier derived from how many posts the tag holds, so the ladder from Micro to Viral is visible at a glance.
  • The opportunity score weighs engagement, competition and growth together instead of ranking on raw size, which always favours the tags you cannot win.
  • Tags nobody has measured yet still get an estimated size, and the row says plainly that it is an estimate rather than dressing it up as data.
  • An "Also used" view ranks the tags that genuinely appear alongside yours, built from a co-occurrence graph rather than from a keyword match.

  • A search that returns nothing, or fails: the credits go back automatically.
  • Top content for the searched tag, and everything to do with lists.

What it does not do

  • Instagram only. The other platform tabs are visibly out of reach rather than quietly broken.
  • Not every tag in the index has been measured through an API. Measured numbers and estimates are marked differently, on purpose.
  • One search returns a capped set of rows rather than everything that matches.
  • Posts per day is shown as an indication and deliberately does not feed the score.
